Personality & Traits

General Overview Mark is extremely hard working. He enjoys flying and enjoys his service to humanity. He's one of those that hopes to spend most of his life in service. That being said...he's somewhat klutzy. Sure, he can pinpoint fly through an asteroid belt or dodge incoming disruptor fire, but he's also quite likely to trip over himself RIGHT after the battle, in an effort to do a victory strut. He may have eaten too much haggis as a child. Piloting is one of the view things that gives his life meaning, however, and he tries to take that very seriously.
Strengths & Weaknesses Strengths: Above average hand to hand skills.

Good marksman, has occasionally taken out multiple targets accidentally.

EXTREMELY precision flying, Former stunt pilot on Earth.

Weaknesses: He's a wee bit clumsy. Often seen in the doctors office, who's probably quite tired of seeing him.

He's human, so frail by many ST standards.

I think I mentioned that he's a bit of a klutz.

Not TERRIBLY well educated, although intelligent enough as Starfleet enforces normally.

Rather short tempered if his honor or professionalism is called into question.

Ambitions Flying. He enjoys flying. If he was going to move up in the ranks, he'd want to be at the helm. No doubt about it.

He dreams of not tripping over his own feet, but we're not sure that's an attainable goal. He'll settle for soaring through the sky/space/etc...

Not terribly interested in leading/officer material exactly...although he'd tackle the responsibility head on, although I'm sure the doctor would tell him to take it easy for a few days.
Hobbies & Interests Lifting weights,

Physical sports,

Reading.

Daredevil flying/piloting,

Personal History Mark was a spirited boy as a youth. His mother was noted as yelling, "Someone catch him!" upon his very day of birth. Only 2 doctors were injured as a result, so all in all it was considered a success.

Mark managed to grow up on Earth, no small feat for the time period. In school he seemed rather disinterested, leaving his head in the clouds as he dreamed of soaring through the sky or perhaps even space.

He entered Starfleet academy as soon as he was old enough, fully intent on becoming a pilot as quickly as he could. He showed good aptitude and was promoted fairly quickly. He DID show up at graduation with a broken nose, but he assures everyone that it wasn't a fight. He was trying to shrug on his graduation outfit and managed to walk into a tree.

Service Record 2260 - Enrolled in Starfleet Academy

2264 - Graduated with honors due to advanced flying skills

2267 - Promoted to Lt. and transferred to USS Vesuvius, taking position as Chief Helms.
